The Brockton Rox wanted a fun but tough character to complement the rich boxing tradition of Brockton, Massacheusetts. The baseball team has always tried to reflect the tradition of the "City of Champions" while also spicing their presentation with the reputations of Bill Murray and Mike Veeck, part of the Goldklang Group ownership. Raymond Entertainment sent "KO the Boxing Kangaroo" up north in 2003 to answer the bell! REG provided the Rox a championship design, a title-quality construction, and a rugged, seasoned performer who wowed New England crowds throughout the summer. (Note: The first performer went straight to MLB, and the second performer REG provided was an All American College Mascot.) REG also supplied artwork for the team to produce infant, youth and adult wear for KO's fans of all ages. With more flair than any other marsupial in Massacheusetts, KO gave a championship performance in his rookie year. The Rox took home the league crown and soon after KO took the trophy around the globe to show off to his family. The Rox used this stunt to create an entertaining off-season promotion for fans to identify where KO was last seen with the league's loving-cup. KO has been a smashing success in the early rounds. Check back soon for the final decision. |
